Utah State Spring Semester

So this semester I moved halls, because the last one was horrible, to say the least. This semester, I have made some of THE best friends, to say the least. These girls are so fun and welcoming, it's unreal. Our ward is great, and everyone in Davis Hall is so fun. Classes are good this semester, just pretty difficult, but i'll get through with flying colors :) My birthday was Friday, so we went out to dinner, then an institute dance and then hung out with some friends. Such a fun night! Then last night we hit up some Aggie Basketball! 2nd game of the week, and of course we won both! Played New Mexico State, so it was pretty funny playing some other Aggies.

Today, however was especially great. Church was great this morning, and our good friend Jason is the new Gospel Doctrine teacher, so we were all excited and supportive of him as well. Since 9 o'clock church is killer when you get to bed just a few hours before, we all came home and slipped into a small coma. 4 hours we woke up and made some great dinners. Tonight we went to the Tabernacle for an Institute Choir fireside. It was one of the most amazing meetings I've been able to be in. Our friend Coleman from across the hall was singing in it so we all decided to go support. The title of the fireside was "Lord of the Small." Two mothers spoke about their experiences with their children who have lived such difficult lives. It was truly inspiring. The part of the fireside that really hit me was the song "Lord of the Small." The lyrics are amazing.

Praise to the Lord of the small, broken things,
Who sees the poor sparrow that cannot take wing,
Who loves the lame child, and the wretch in the street,
Who comforts their sorrows and washes their feet.

Praise to the Lord of the faint and afraid,
Who girds them with courage and lends them His aid;
He pours out His Spirit on vessels so weak
That the timid can serve and and the silent can speak.

Praise the Lord of the frail and the ill,
Who heals their afflictions, or carries them till,
They leave frame and to paradise fly,
To never be sick, never to die.

Praise Him, O praise Him, all ye who yet live,
Who've been given so much and can so little give,
Our frail, lisping praise God will never despise:
He sees His dear children through mercy filled eyes.

I love this song, and I LOVE life. :)
